Responding to Anti-Islamic Rhetoric: Don’t Let History Repeat Itself

In light of recent anti-Islamic and anti-immigrant rhetoric, the International Cultural Center and the Gaithersburg Beloved Community Initiative are bringing together a diverse group of students and retired adults.

Participants will explore how today’s events are connected to other historical events and determine strategies for moving forward.

Students can earn SSL hours for participating and lunch will be provided!

ADULT PARTICIPANTS INCLUDE INDIVIDUALS WHO:

  • Lived in a Japanese Internment Camp
  • Are Active in the U.S. Civil Rights Movement
  • Fled from Nazi Germany
