6:15 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
November 3, 2016
Participants will engage in anti-racism exercises in diverse groups with a trained facilitator. This is the first in a series of dialogues on racism. Each dialogue will begin with reflections on our sacred texts, our common humanity, and learn to see the divine in each other as children of God.
The goal of this Nov. 3 dialogue is to raise awareness of racism, Islamophobia, Anti-semitism & xenophobia in our communities, schools, county agencies, and within ourselves. The next dialogue on Jan. 3, 2017 at the Civic Center, Silver Spring will focus on strategies for successful change toward mutual respect and racial equality in our county.
MCPD officers and MCFRS chiefs along with those who attended the dialogue on Sept. 28 are also welcome to participate.
Everyone MUST register to participate! Deadline to register is October 31.
